Illinois State Redbirds welcome Jackson Gram to the family! Gram, a 6′-2″ 170 lb. forward is a Lake Forest, IL native. He joins the Redbirds after a successful season with the Peoria Mustangs in the NA3HL.
Gram chose ISU because he gets to stay close to home and go to school with a lot of friends from high school all while playing on a great hockey team. He intends to be a marketing and communications major. His favorite coach was Jean-Guy Trudel because “he really taught me the extreme detail of every part of hockey and showed me what true hard work is.” Gram stated. Gram’s biggest supporter is his parents. “Both of my parents have been my biggest supporters my whole life with hockey and developing as a strong individual in general.” Gram states. Gram’s favorite hockey memory was the plane rides with all the boys from Seattle to Boston multiple times during his U16 year. Jackson’s biggest goal was the go-ahead goal in a playoff game to advance to the finals against Delta Hockey Academy in his U16 year.
“Jackson is an extremely talented player that we are expecting to have an instant impact! He bring great size, speed, and work ethic that will set him up for a very successful college career. I look forward to helping him continue to develop and seeing him grow!” – Coach Chris Prewitt.
Gram joins a pipeline of former Mustang players to continue their hockey careers at the collegiate level at ISU like Brendan Donovan (D1), Tony Campise (D1) Dalton Clarke (D2), Nick Ulrich (D1), Brennan Begner (Alumni), Tyler Kuhn (Alumni) and Coach Chris Prewitt (D1).
