Illinois State Hockey welcomes Dominic Dager to the Redbird Family! The Clinton, MI native forward will be joining us for the 2025-26 season from the Atlanta Mad Hatters in the USPHL!
Dominic chose to go to Illinois State because, “the campus and the coaches and players I met around the rink.” He intends to major in psychology while at ISU. Dager is looking forward to getting a new hockey family for the next 4 years.
When asked about his favorite coach, Dominic stated, “Coach Foglio when I was super young. Was the first coach to be hard on me but also build me up.” Dager credits his biggest supporters is his parents through everything including some major injuries during his career. When asked about his biggest assist, Dominic said it was from a game 2 years ago where with 3 seconds left, Dager made a pass to his roommate who tied the game to send it to overtime where later would win. The best hockey memory that Dager has had was scoring the teddy bear toss goal two years ago in Columbia.

If Dominic could be an animal, he would be a penguin because he loves the cold and thinks it would be cool to slide down hills would be fun. Dager has one sister: Abi. His favorite food is mac and cheese.

He is extremely strong defensively but has all the skill needed to produce offensively as well.
