Illinois State Hockey welcomes Carson Pishkur to the Redbird Family! The Illinois native forward will be joining us for the 2025-26 season as he is finishing his second season with the Roosevelt University Lakers Division 1 ACHA team!
Carson chose to transfer to Illinois State because, “the good things I have heard about the university and the construction management program as well as the high level of hockey.” He intends to major in construction management while at ISU. Pishkur is looking forward to winning games and working towards his major.
When asked about his favorite coach, Carson stated, “Billy Karr and Mike Gedzun because they are great people on and off the ice and have given me plenty of great opportunities.” Pishkur credits that his biggest supporter are his parents. When asked about his biggest goal/assist, Carson said “when I assisted on the game winning goal for a Central States Championship.” The best hockey memory that Pishkur has had was breaking the record for the longest winning streak in Central States.

If Carson could be an animal, he would be a polar bear because of their strength. Pishkur has one sibling: Chloe. His favorite food is sushi.

His experience at the D1 level sets him up to transition well into the organization and his history of playing in the GL6 means he knows what it takes to be a top team in the country.
