Illinois State Redbirds Hockey Welcomes Logan Martinson!

Illinois State Redbirds welcome Logan Martinson to the family!

Martinson, a 6′-3″ 200 lb. defense is an Allen, TX native. He joins the Redbirds after playing for the NAHL New Mexico Ice Wolves in the 2019-20 season!

Logan chose ISU because “Illinois State is close to home and friends. The facilities look great as well.” He currently is a Computer Science major. “My dad is my favorite coach because he knows how to get the best out of his players,” Martinson stated. Logan’s biggest supporters are his parents. Logan stated that his biggest goal was, “the shootout winner in my u14 league championship.” Martinson said his favorite hockey memory is, “The relationships I’ve made and teams I’ve been a part of along the way.” Logan has one sibling, Lily who plays Division 1 hockey in Providence. Logan is looking forward to playing hockey at Illinois State.

“Logan will bring a ton of experience to our group after playing a lot of high-level hockey. We are extremely excited to add him to our group as we push for a national championship this fall!” – Coach Chris Prewitt.
