Illinois State Redbirds Hockey Welcomes Will Tricarico

Illinois State Redbirds welcome Will Tricarico to the family!

Tricarico, a 6′-4″ 210 lb. forward is an East Islip, NY native. He joins the Redbirds after a successful season with the USPHL’s Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings.

Tricarico chose ISU because “The school and the best feels to be the best fit for me.” He currently is a Business Management major with a concertation in Sports Management. “My favorite coach is my high school coach Danny Barbs, he has always been there for me,” Tricarico stated. Will’s biggest supporters are his family. Will stated that his biggest goal was, “scoring the record-breaking goal this season.” Tricarico said his favorite hockey memory was, “going to China to play in a tournament.” Will is looking forward to winning a national hockey championship.

“We are extremely excited to have Will joining Illinois State this coming year. He brings a ton of experience both at the college level and junior level while also having a ton of success. I am looking forward to helping him continue to grow!” – Coach Chris Prewitt.
