On the first weekend of December, we will be hosting a Teddy Bear Toss Special Event against the University of Illinois Following our first goal of the game, we will ask all in attendance to toss the teddy bears that they brought onto the ice where they will be collected and delivered to local children’s hospitals by the team. In addition, we will have a special event t-shirt available for purchase where all proceeds will be donated directly to toys for tots. We will also have a donation table set up for those that would prefer to donate directly to toys for tots rather than or in addition to purchasing a T-shirt. We have set a goal to bring in at least $5000 to donate through the event.
Coach Prewitt: “This is an extremely special event where we get the opportunity to give back. We would love to see a full arena and reach our goal of donating $5000 the the children. We will be wearing special jerseys for this event and have plans to make it the best event yet. We hope to see everyone there!”
